About Karishma Manchanda

Being a Certified Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Professional as well as a Trainer (Diversity Training University International, California), Karishma recognises that DE&I solutions cannot work in isolation as plug-in and plug-out interventions but must be carefully and continuously interwoven into the entire fabric of the organisational culture. This means linking the DE&I agenda with the business. Being a Certified Master Scorecard Professional and a Certified Organizational Analyst (Carlton Advance Management Institute, California), Karishma married the two concepts together to create an integrated framework for Indian workplaces.

This brings customised solutions aligned and integrated with the business agenda while addressing the day-to-day and practical concerns of our incredibly diverse Indian workforce. Being a management graduate from the International Management Institute (IMI) and the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI), Karishma invested 15+ in various functions of Strategic HR and Change Management. She is also the author of many bestselling books. Her book, titled Cracking the Code of DE&I, has revolutionised the way businesses look at the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion. In her book, she offers a practical guide to translating good-to-have boardroom talks on the subject to practical, implementable, and measurable results.

Based on her learning from Diversity Consultation Certification and her expertise in the subject, she has designed a master course series for professionals looking to amplify their DE&I competencies while handholding them to implement the solutions learnt in their workplace. This course will help working professionals bridge the gap between the need and availability of required skill sets and knowledge for Diversity professionals in India. From drafting a compelling D&I mission statement to producing a measurable impact on business, Karishma is a Management Consultant and offers a one-stop shop with a suite of offerings. She is a Principal Founder of UpgradeHRM. She continues to be fascinated by culture and its interaction with people, systems, and the experiences it triggers. For over 14 years, Karishma has understood the subtle impact of DEI on teams. She likes to immerse herself in understanding the impact of culture on workplace ecosystems.

For a decade, Karishma has been working with teams and leaders to design, deliver, and implement diversity and inclusion interventions across industries. She takes a systemic, intersectional, human-centric approach to producing scalable and measurable DEIB results. Using tools to generate a non-biased and scientific approach, she strives to create bespoke models for each individual in a team - thus delivering a tailored, sustainable solution for individuals and teams at large. Karishma is an international facilitator and practitioner of DEI, with Cultural Sensitisation as her key focus.

As a DE&I consultant, she has worked with various organisations to craft customised solutions that yield business results.
